God On Trial – Opening Arguments, is an audio dramatization of the war between God and Satan for the souls of mankind. It examines the question of God’s sovereignty and His right to administrate world affairs. Satan challenges God, charging Him with criminal neglect of the universe, abusive use of power, and conflict of interest.
Each episode addresses critical questions of free will and responsibility that draws the listener deeper into the conflict that forces them to become the jury and answer the question, “Is God fit to rule the universe?”
EPISODE 1 – THE FALL
Satan’s ambition for kingdom building has targeted planet earth in a hostile take-over of Eden and all its inhabitants.
EPISODE 2 – THE PROMISE
Adam and Eve are called to give an account of the “Eden Incident,” while Mercy and Justice meet behind closed doors to hammer out a solution to sin and separation caused by “The Fall.”
EPISODE 3 – MADE IN HELL
Satan demands his right to a retrial and descends into the bowels of hell to assemble his “legal team” and come up with a strategy to stop heaven’s plan to redeem mankind.
EPISODE 4 – THE APPEAL
The Universal Code of Justice’s ruling is that the soul that sins shall die. Can God find a way around the law without breaking it
EPISODE 5 – The Evidence
The date has been set for the landmark case. Does God have a right to be God? Heaven searches the records for evidence to refute Hell’s claim.
EPISODE 6 – The Charges
Secret council meeting called. Official charges against God include long list of complaints: criminal neglect of the universe, obstruction of justice, conflict of interest, and abusive use of power.
EPISODE 7 – The Blood
Cain sweats it out on the witness stand. Hear what he has to say about the death of his brother and how the defense tries to drag the truth out of him.
EPISODE 8 – The Law
Dr.Law is called as an expert witness to testify to God’s actions, in which He has been accused of playing favorites between Cain and Abel.
EPISODE 9 – The Ark
Noah is called as a hostile witness by the Prosecution who hopes to expose God’s insensitivity to mankind’s expression of his free will. Was building a boat to save one family a fair resolution to the problem of human disobedience?
EPISODE 10 – The Flood
The people were all gone. The Flood had swept them all away. Could the Defense use Noah’ testimony to refute the unanswered questions regarding God’s sanity and His right to rule the world? Or would the jury need more evidence?
EPISODE 11 – The Tower
Tragedy struck again, as the communication lines between God and His creation continued to deteriorate. Nimrod, the great-grandson of Noah who took advantage of the situation to establish himself as king of the earth, presents the people’s complaints before the Court.
EPISODE 12 – The Rebel
Nimrod is cross examined as to his true intentions in building the tower. He claims it was for money. The Defense discovers a deeper plot.
EPISODE 13 – THE WARNING
The Prosecution examines the question of God’s right to judge sin by calling Lady Lot to testify to her unfair treatment by the Almighty in the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.
EPISODE 14 – THE EXPOSING
The Defense cross-examines Lady Lot’s motives and God’s intentions in a fiery investigation into the judgment of those two infamous cities.
EPISODE 15 – THE RECKONING
The Prosecution calls Dr. Law to return as his expert witness to help “prove” God’s unreasonable expectations in expecting the people to follow a set of laws that are impossible to keep.
EPISODE 16 – THE MUTINY
The Defense works to clarify God’s purpose in giving the Law, not as a means of salvation, but as a means of defining sin and convincing one of the need for salvation.
EPISODE 17 – THE IMPEACHMENT
The Prosecution calls Job to testify in behalf of the injustices he suffered at the hand of the Almighty. Satan was still trying to get Jesus to disqualify Himself as the Lamb of God by sinning, while the demons were getting ready to mutiny against Satan.
EPISODE 18 – THE REVOLT
The Prosecution continuing to interrogate Job tries to impeach him for not supporting their claims of divine wrong doing against Job. Satan continues to resist growing pressure from within his ranks to kill Jesus.
EPISODE 19 – NEVERTHELESS
The Defense examines Job and finds his testimony to be sound. Jesus finds himself thrust from the Garden of Gethsemane to in front of Caiaphas. The question of who was really responsible for the death of Jesus unfolds.
EPISODE 20 – THE TEST
Abraham takes the witness stand as the Defense calls his first witness. Jesus is brought before Pilate and Herod and scourged to pacify the crowds. The reality of His Execution seems inevitable. The Prosecution cross-examines Abraham’s faith and accuses him of lying.
EPISODE 21 – THE SON
The Prosecution continues to interrogate Abraham regarding God’s demands that he sacrifice Isaac while the crowds are demanding the crucifixion of Jesus. How could God let such a horrible thing happen?
EPISODE 22 – THE CRUCIFIXION
The Prosecution continues to examine Abraham regarding his trust in God and his willingness to sacrifice his son. The demons mock Jesus as He carries his cross through the streets of Jerusalem and up the hill to Golgotha. Jesus is nailed to the cross.
EPISODE 23 – THE DEATH
Abraham relives the emotional details of the events with his son Isaac on Mount Moriah. The crowd mocks Jesus demanding Him to come down from the cross. Jesus utters His final words as the demons wait impatiently for Him to die. The Defense wraps up his questioning of Abraham.
EPISODE 24 – THE EXODUS
Moses takes the witness stand as the Defense calls his last witness. The death of Jesus is experienced as an earthquake in the Court of Heaven. Satan goes to see what is going on
EPISODE 25 – THE DELIVERANCE
The Defense continues to examine Moses about God’s intentions in the Exodus. The Prosecution begins his cross-examination of Moses and God’s demand that Israel obey Him. Jesus descends into the place of the dead to reclaim the souls imprisoned at the flood.
EPISODE 26 – THE REDEMPTION
Prosecution continues his final examination of Moses. Jesus continues His battle in Hell releases the captive souls. Jesus leaves with the keys of Hell and Death. The Court reconvenes for the final arguments.
EPISODE 27 – THE RESURRECTION
The final arguments are delivered by the Prosecution. The demons are unable to keep Jesus in the tomb. Will the clever arguments of the Angel of Light be strong enough to persuade the Jury to convict God of wrong doing?
EPISODE 28 – THE DECISION
The Defense presents his final arguments before the Jury. The ultimate decision is now in the hands of the listener. But is the war really over? Hell’s reaction to the Judge’s decision exposes the depth of their full intention.
